A super thick haze flows into the Grand Canyon. It was almost impossible at times to see through it.

the almost monochrome blue is not like any picture of the grand canyon I have ever seen before

The haze was so blue and overpowering that during edit I desaturated the image and added a cool filter to enhance the blue tones in the haze.

I was mixed with emotion looking at in real life. Part of me liked the look. Like it was some mysterious canyon, some place that you wouldn't want to get lost at night. The other half of me was disgusted and disappointed. It is smog and that just takes away from the natural beauty of the Grand Canyon.

Thank you Diane. I debated even editing for over 3 months. It just seemed dirty and uninteresting. Then I saw it again from a different light. It still just bothers me that I couldn't see through the smog. Thank you! :highfive:
