Hey, this is cool! reminds me of a technique i did you might like. I taped up flames, then waxed the inside of the flames, then untape, and use a scotch brite pad to scuff around the edges of the flames. Works real good for a rat rod style. And no paint is required. try it. You will have shiny wax flames.

I have a 91 legacy with 259,000mi. so i basically decided to do whatever to it. So thats what i did. tuened out alright, the paint was already crap, didn't really shine. Cool effect though.
